Improved Asylum V0.97 Released! |

Version 0.97 of the Improved Asylum mod has been released! This version is primarily intended as a compatibility upgrade. Older versions of the mod overwrite the Spell Trap file with the version from an older version of Detectable Spells that allows AI scripts to see that the player has the Spell Trap protections up. This is a holdover from much earlier and less sophisticated ways of modding BG2. This caused a problem if Improved Asylum was installed after another mod that changed the Spell Trap spell. This problem has been corrected. The new version has been changed to include the version of Detectable Spells that comes with the Sword Coast Stratagems 2 mod for Baldur's Gate 2.
Thanks to DavidW for the code for the new Detectable Spells!
For now, only the PC version of the mod is available. A Mac OSX version will be following over the next several days.

Kitanya To Be Included in Level 1 NPCs Mod |

Kitanya has been selected for inclusion in the Level 1 NPCs Mod hosted over at Gibberlings3. Level 1 NPCs is a mod that allows the player to change the class of any or all party-joinable characters in the Baldur's Gate series. The mod also sets the character to level 1 with enough experience to level up to the same level as the player. This allows a player of the game to literally choose how to allocate all of their proficiency points and other skills as appropriate.
Kitanya's inclusion in this mod will allow you to turn her into a thief, a wizard, or literally any other class that you could want!

Game Patches Section Opens Up |

RPG Dungeon is pleased to announce that all of the official patches for the Infinity Engine games are now available for download here. This is a feature that was present on the site years ago and was lost during the rebuilding of the site. It is now once again available.
This is a service that I have long felt is useful to modders. Due to the nature of our hobby, we may frequently need to reinstall the games that we mod. Hopefully this section of the site enables modders to be able to perform this process without the need to visit many different sites to obtain the official patches.
At this time, only the patches for the Infinity Engine based games are available. This includes all patches released to date for Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn, Baldur's Gate 2: Throne of Bhaal, Icewind Dale, Icewind Dale: Heart of Winter, Icewind Dale 2, and Planescape: Torment.

Version 0.96 of the Improved Asylum mod has been released! This version focuses primarily on enhancements to the adventuring party that has been present in this mod since the very first version. In particular, some of the items that these enemies drop have been significantly weakened. Additionally, the scripts have been improved. This is part of an ongoing project to improve the AI of this fight.
This version of the mod also fixes a bug that caused the game to crash when Breudayael casts one of his high level spells. He also uses his Time Stop spells more intelligently.
Improved Asylum V0.96 has both PC and Mac OSX versions available.

A Wounded Lion's Branwen Relationship Mod Now Available in Russian! |

Version 1.3 of A Wounded Lion's Branwen Relationship mod is now available in Russian! Thanks to Prowler for translating the mod.
At the moment, there is no installer or readme available. I will put one together as soon as I can (or as soon as I can get in touch with A Wounded Lion).
For now, the download is available for download here: Branwen V1.3 Download. Please note that 7-Zip or some other program that can open 7Z files is needed to open the mod. |
